One SERIOUS update!

I was looking on a friend's blog and realized it's almost been a year since I blogged last! Obviously, I am not the best but I really am going to try harder. Here is the severely overdue update for this Hunsaker Bunch!!!

Where to start? Life is good- crazy, but good!:o) We have been so blessed so any of the chaos that has ensued lately, we have no room to complain about. We are all healthy, happy, & loving life... That's all that matters. 2009 truely proved to be quite the year for us! We have been so blessed in so many ways, we aren't even able to list them all! Here is what's been going on with each of us:

Jaxon- The newest addition to our family and the greatest blessing we received last year!!! After a month of bed rest for Mom, pre-term labor, & lots of hospital trips, Jaxon Tyger was finally born on 09/10/09, @ 5:50 AM, weighing 8 lbs. 7 oz. & 19 1/2 in. long. We had said that if since Drake was born on 08/08/08, if Jax was born on 09/09/09, we ought to play the lottery because the odds of that happening naturally were ridiculous! Apparently the Lord didn't want us to gamble because we missed it by that much!:o)

But we are so in love with our "Chub o' lub!" He has the rolling around everywhere pretty much down but wants so badly to move faster! He is doing everything he can to get crawling around, even though I want him to stay my little baby. He is a pretty serious & mellow guy, but is willing to crack a smile & even give us a little chuckle every once in a while. Unless it's Drake...

Above: Jax- 4 days old, Drake- 13 months old
Below: Jax- 6 months old, Drake- 19 months old

Jaxon LOVES his big bro! They are so funny together... They will sit in the back of the car & will entertain each other for hours if given the chance. Drake makes funny noises or faces and Jax will laugh hysterically! I absolutely love it... Although, we have had a couple of our first fist fights. I was holding Drake on one knee & Jax on the other, when Jax smacked Drake in the back of the head (whether intentional or not, we'll never know!:o)) Drake smacked back. Pretty soon I just saw 4 little hands & arms flying every which way at each other. It took everything I had not to laugh at the scene! Until I realized this was just the first & probably the nicest of the many fights to come, haha... Aw, brotherly love.

Drake- Last year was a busy year for this little man... and he's staying just as busy this year too! In 2009, Mr. Drake learned how to roll over, sit up, crawl, eat, walk, run AND climb! Now he is talking, mostly baby jibberish, to no end. Every once in a while, he'll share some of his favorite words or phrases. "Let's go!" "Right now!" "BONK!!!" "Huwwooooh (Hello)..." And my personal favorite, "Mean Mom!" are just a few. It seems that in the last few weeks, he's picked up more. I absolutely love hearing his animal sounds! He pretty much does every barnyard animal, but my favorites are his horsey, ducky, & kitty sounds. He's so animated... Hmm. Who'da thunk? A child of mine being a character!;o)

Drake definitely has the Pedersen's love of baseball! He's better than most t-ballers... If we're driving & he sees the lights, he thinks we're going to see one of the uncles play. They are teaching him how to be a switch hitter, and he's actually really good. Lethal with a bat, I'd say. And anything with a handle, be it a lint roller or a spatula, is a bat. If he finds a ball, he's just as lethal with that rocket arm. He'll yell "THROW"- a warning call that it's time to take cover.

Shane- SUPER DADDY!:o) After finding out that Shane is married, a father of 2, working & going to school to be a physical therapist, people are astonished to find out he's only 23... So old for his age!;o) Shane is working full-time at Wells Fargo & was bumped up from a Lead Teller to a Personal Banker this last year- a major blessing amongst the many for us! And he is VERY good at what he does! He told me that just the other day, this lady brought her daughter in to see him when she could've gone to a branch down the street from them in Apache Junction!:o) That's my man!

Shane is enjoying the joint calling we have as Primary teachers in the CTR 8 class- a class full of your typical crazy 8 year old boys!!!:o) I teach & he's the enforcer of good behavior, but more importantly, the treat monitor. We know that treats shouldn't be a motivator of reverence & good behavior, but hey! It works! Most of the time... So we are trying a new method of setting a treat out for each boy at the beginning of class. If one of the boys is acting up, Shane will eat their treat. (No worries, we're going to bring back ups! We're not THAT mean... :o)) So he's REALLY going to hate primary now....... :o)

Shane really is such a good daddy... & his boys really love him too! He is Drake's wrestling buddy & Jax gets sooo excited to see him when he gets home from work. Infact, Jax likes him so much that his first word was, yes... "Da-da" & I know he knows what it means because he looks at the pictures on our family wall, see Shane & start singing "Da-da! Da-da!" It's a little depressing when he's yelling that at night and MAMA is the one getting up with him! ;o) Hahaha That's okay... It just goes to show how much all 3 of Shane's babies love him!

Lonna- Where to start???? Well, until November I was working part time as a front office administrator in a podiatry office. Due to economic circumstances, I now have the joy & opportunity of being a full time stay-at-home mom. I AM still doing hair on the side too, by the way. But I LOVE being a mom & am loving being home to spend time with my boys & watching them grow! I am so blessed to be able to do so... I do have somedays where I have to try to keep that in mind though!

Ugh... Like a couple of weeks ago. It all started when I wanted to trim up my hair. Well I didn't want Drakey running around the house making messes so I put him in the tub in the bathroom I was cutting my hair in. In the short time I was not paying particularly close attention to him, the little monster went #2 in the tub!!! I freaked... Stopped cutting, cleaned the boy & took him out, then started in on the tub. After I got it cleaned, I turned the tub on & poured some a little bleach in to sanitize it. In the mean time, Mr. Drake went & PEED in 3 different rooms! Like a little dog, hahaha! So I got him dressed & cleaned those messes when I realized we were going to be late for Jaxey's dr. appt. I hurried & got him dressed. When I was in the middle of getting myself ready, I heard splashing coming from the hallway...............

Drake was ankle deep in water in the entry way!!!!!! I had forgotten to turn the tub off... and it flooded the whole front half of our house........ I spent the rest of that day pushing all the water out the front door or sucking it out of the carpet... Oh, I was quite the mess. AND my hair still was only half done!!! (And still is to this day, actually!:o) Haha!) Thankfully, I did no perminent damage!:oD

I absolutely LOVE our house! Another unexpected blessing... I unfortunately do not have much domesticity (Haha is that even a word???) in me so it's been fun trying to find that side of me. Decorating- eeeeh, it's getting there. All I have to say is it's a good thing the house was a model home & already painted because if it had been up to me, it probably would still not be done! Cooking- I'm getting better but I still don't love it. I have figured out that baking is pretty much out for me. (Thank you Amish Friendship bread that is more like big fat BRICK that I could kill someone with!) :o)

That about covers it! Life is good & we couldn't ask for more:o) I really am going to try to keep posting things so... be expecting to hear from us again soon!
